What I’m trying to accomplish with this film is shed light on topics that go tremendously overlooked in today's society. By achieving this through Writing and Directing, it gives audiences a total sense of realism, in a world of right versus wrong. In this film, I implemented certain camera choices and sounds to build a feeling of curiosity. By intercutting between the past and present, this film is able to captivate various intimate topics regarding: Incarcerated rehabilitation, racism, the empowerment of fatherhood at a young age, and Police brutality,
My objective was to shed light on my subjects from script to the screen. The journey to accomplish this film has been a test to determine my abilities as a Filmmaker, in bridging the dual roles of Writer and Director. I'm confident that audiences will be able to grasp this form of content, in a way that navigates from the societal norm.
