ABOUT BRAELEN WASHINGTON
Born in Los Angeles, California but partially raised in a small hidden city called Upland, Braelen gravitated towards the art of stage acting at an early age. From childhood to becoming a teenager, he took part in multiple plays spanning from elementary to high school. He was also in the school choir and attended an acting institution in LA called Amazing Grace Conservatory. In 2016 he attended Citrus Community College, and graduated with AA's in the field of Sociology and Social & Behavioral Sciences. It was there he discovered his love and passion for writing.
Freshly graduated, and overcoming obstacles, Washington transferred to Northern California to acquire his B.A. in Cinematic Arts & Technology from California State University Monterey Bay. From there on he advanced as a Screenwriter, and branched interest into Directing and Producing. When asked about what he wants to achieve, he had this to say: ''To become successful as an Entertainer and Entrepreneur. With so much going on in America and the world, there's a lot of work that needs to be done. And I feel I can tribute through my writing and filmmaking. Not only to showcase my art, but also encourage others to do the same''.
Upon graduating college and its entirety, Washington has been working freelance in the industry for over 2 years now. He's occupied positions from PA to Associate Producer in areas of Television and Film. In late 2020 he completed his first feature length Screenplay, and has been part of numerous writing projects ever since. Braelen continues to emphasize the value of teamwork. He works tirelessly to reach his goal of one day collaborating with big named Artists in Black Entertainment, and Hollywood in general.
